Magnus Chase and the Hammer of Thor - Book Talk Time

Rating:

Hey Readers!
Yes, I rate this book 4 stars, because all in all, it was spectacular. I don't know if I will mean it after I read a number of other books when the year passes or whatever, but for now, I am sold. Honestly, Rick Riordan never fails to amuse me with his mythological adventures. And, yes I am kind of sick of him writing incessant amount of books, because I don't have enough money to buy all of them and that means being deprived of Uncle Rick's astute words for a really long time.

Anyway, back to book reviewing. The first thing I would like to say that I found interesting were the chapter names. I am personally very impressed by authors who have the power and grammatical authority of naming every chapter, especially with such humour in every single one of them. And in this book, Rick Riordan did it. And I laughed, a lot. I loved the whole new mythological world, the Norse world, which Rick tapped in this series.

I liked the disgusting and grotesque Thor in this book. He farted a lot for, instance, which was inspirational. Just kidding. And there was a new character introduced in this book, drumroll please. Alex Fierro!
Alex is basically a gender-fluid, who turns out to be a child of Loki. Her abilities amaze me, which are shape-shifting and also, pottery. The latter is impressive.
